Chocolate Chocolate and Chicago
Chocolate and Chicago
Have you ever climbed in your car and driven to a nearby store, just to buy some chocolate to satisfy a craving? If you have, welcome to the club! Well, there should be a club and If not, a support group. At the very least, an on-line “Chocolate” recipe exchange! (Attached below are two of my favorite chocolate recipes.)
I have never met a chocolate I didn’t like! Whether I am in need of a treat, a dessert or a comfort food, chocolate has always been a good choice. Chocolate makes me happy, so chocolate chips are an important part of the foods I like to keep on hand. That way I don’t have to drive to a store in the middle of the night. 🙂
You may be familiar with the chocolate making town of Hershey Pennsylvania, but as a Chicagoan I am happy to tell you that Chicago actually has TWO chocolate factories! Two more really good reasons to come visit! The best reason to come visit is my family and I would love to see YOU, and we would love to show you around Chicago! Chicago is a great city with much to offer! And we could finish the day with CHOCOLATE!
As you get close to the factories you can smell chocolate in the air, it always makes my mouth water! Call ahead before going to visit them to confirm times and events. The links to their websites are below. I have gone to Blommer’s for years, buying bricks of dipping chocolate, chocolate chips in bulk, and chocolates to eat! l love their assortment of chocolates: mint chocolates, chocolate haystacks (w/coconut) and orange chocolate are a few favorites. Things just taste better when they have been dipped in chocolate.
