Life Comes Back Spring Never Skips Its Turn

Spring is officially here! You wouldn’t know it from looking out the window at the snow flurries here in Chicagoland, and yet, one thing I know for sure is that spring never skips its turn. This gives me great hope that rain will soon wash away winter and, blossom by blossom, the earth will miraculously burst forth.

In my home I have a picture of a little girl standing with the sun shining down on her through rain. It reads, “Then, when it seems we will never smile again, life comes back.” This thought gave me great hope as I went forward on my healing pathway overcoming depression and anxiety.

Each year I love witnessing the miracle of creation and life coming back. I see the baren tree limbs flowering to bear fruit, brown shriveled grass becoming long and green, a sleeping caterpillar breaking forth with colorful wings, and I can hear the calling of the newly hatched cuckoo bird.

The God of creation, our Heavenly Father, gave us His Son, the Savior, Jesus Christ to break the bands of death and to come back to life. Today as Easter approaches and we celebrate the resurrection, I hope you can feel the sun on your shoulders and see the possibility of new life in yourself. How would you like to be renewed? To obtain a miracle I have been taught to pray to Heavenly Father in the name of our Savior.  To ask, seek, knock, and believe in life coming back. I know prayers will be answered. The Savior has the power to heal and to renew. He can show you the way to come forth and live your life more abundantly.

I am focusing on renewing myself this spring by asking the Lord to assist me in releasing some worry caused by my anxiety. I feel the enabling influence from the scripture in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.” As I trust my worries to the Savior’s capable and healing hands, He in return gives me peace that I can feel spread through me. This is miraculous as I am then able to center my energy on better things such as showing love to myself and others. Expressing love is empowering, refreshing, and brings life to all.

Enjoy spring!

    Elaine,

You are so full of strength and have an uplifting spirit. As a few snowflakes fell AGAIN today, I went to look at our daffodils blooming. The bulbs that have been buried under an extreme amount of snow this year are finally able to grow. They are showing such potential even in difficult circumstances. We can do that too!

Thank you for sharing your experiences.

I love that picture and the quote that goes with it! There are seasons of difficulty in our lives, but then the sun does shine again, and we have seasons of relief. These seasons of relief come even when it feels like they won’t. At General Conference in April, Sister Camille N. Johnson referred to Christ as the Reliever with a capital R. I love that name for Christ. I don’t remember hearing him called that before. What a hopeful and merciful name!
