The Whole Gang A Reunion In Florida
“A family gives you roots and wings.”
As a mom and a grammy, I am always looking for ways of getting everyone together. We now have spread from Chicago to Boston to Bentonville Arkansas to Provo Utah. I am happiest when we are all together! Mark feels the same way so we plan family reunions well over a year in advance. We actually gave this Orlando family reunion to our children and grandchildren for Christmas in 2015. A wise person once told me to give your grandchildren experiences and not toys. Although we have given lots of toys, this Christmas we gave each grandchild a plastic whale, shark or alligator along with a laminated “ticket” to Orlando
May 2016 we all gathered in Orlando Florida! We stayed at our “spring break” traditional place – the Marriott Cypress Harbour. The wonderful week of activities included: snorkeling at Discovery Cove, watching Sham at Sea World, waving at all the Disney characters in the incredible parade at Magic Kingdom and experiencing the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. Although for our little Tyler, meeting Spiderman was the biggest hit! Mark and I had the opportunity of not only having lots of fun with our family, but we were also able to bear our testimonies to our children and grandchildren. We first had them act out the bible story “Daniel and the Lions Den.” And then discussed obedience and love for our Heavenly Father and the Savior. Mark and I feel grateful to have these beautiful and good people in our lives. Whenever I am with my family I always say I am… HAPPY, LOVED AND BLESSED!!!
